Beekeeping Club of Southeast Idaho
Serving beekeepers and communities in the counties of Bannock, Bingham, Power, Caribou, Onieda, Franklin, Oneida and Bear Lake

What we are about
A beekeeping community
BCSI meets once per month. Meetings include a discussion of beekeeping tasks and season-specific topics relevant to the month that the meeting is held.
Meetings are open to the public and free of charge.
Mentoring
One of the primary goals of BCSI is to provide mentoring for new beekeepers.
Education
The primary method of education is at the monthly meetings. Each month, the topics relevant to beekeeping for that month are discussed. There is always a Question and Answer session after the education portion of each meeting. There are classes in the Spring for both beginning beekeeping and intermediate beekeeping. Some of the monthly meeting topics include: understanding bee colony composition, colony and bee behavior, pest management, harvesting honey, and rendering bees wax.
Community resource
BCSI provides a source for community members to contact a beekeeper regarding bee swarms and the removal of an established bee colony.
